River Edge, NJ, March 23, 2010 --Today begins a new era in the arts and entertainment industry as ForTalent.com officially launches.

ForTalent.com is the world’s first social network devoted to helping people in every major category in the industry connect with each other, and get the support of exclusive real-world advice from business insiders, who are on the network to share their wisdom.

The free service is the flagship of N.J.-based Envision Initiatives Inc., a web advisory firm, and is at the leading edge of 21st century communication, offering sophisticated, yet easy-to-use tools, which allow members to showcase themselves and their work to connect to a global network of like-minded people.

ForTalent.com is relentlessly focused on creating a social platform for people of the arts and entertainment industry, which makes it different than Facebook, or MySpace or LinkedIn, which are focused on servicing as large a population as possible.

On ForTalent.com, people can create profiles and display their work, as well as create connections and communicate with other creative professionals and fans.

“We are passionate about the opportunities that social media presents for aspiring artists to come together with fans, the “behind the scenes” workers, and the veterans of the industry,” says Roger Maggio, President and CEO of Envision Initiatives. “We are working hard to be a trusted community where talented people discover new ways of creating value by connecting with each other.”

Although ForTalent.com is an arts-and-entertainment social network, it is really “a social operating system” for the arts and entertainment industry. “It is a place where people connect and can come together to add jet fuel to their business opportunities in their fields of expertise, as well as create new friendships and get great advice from experts in the field,” Maggio said.

ForTalent.com is designed to give members tools by which they can generate new and interesting content; a platform to express themselves and showcase their talents; a platform to create an extensive online portfolio for one-stop review; a vehicle to connect with others of similar interests and passions.

The key components of ForTalent.com include:

1. Community Features: The site brings together both professionals and enthusiasts with a passion for all forms of arts and entertainment. All members are able to create personal profiles, blogs and events; upload videos, photos and music; make comments; write reviews; rate contents; vote on competitions; and create and join groups comprised of other members of similar disciplines, backgrounds or interests.

2. Special Events and Contests: ForTalent.com and partners hold events and competitions regularly; all members can participate in the contests by entering and voting. Winners are rewarded with exclusive advising and mentorships with veteran industry professionals. Examples: online film festivals, photo contests, battles of the bands, art exhibitions, comedy clubs, dance-offs, modeling and music contests, etc.

3. Arts & Entertainment Industry Insiders: The site includes a variety of industry insiders within different categories of arts and entertainment. These accomplished professionals post blogs on ForTalent.com for their fans to follow, sharing tips on the industry, stories about personal challenges they have encountered and overcome, and hard-earned wisdom and advice that will inspire or intrigue their fans.

One of the most important services ForTalent.com offers its members is to provide them with the ability to contact creative people who have services and talents of use to them. Performers needing photos can reach out to member photographers across the country; or, producers in need of set, lighting or sound designers will have immediate access to professionals in those fields; or casting directors can find talented performers anywhere in the country with the click of a mouse; and performers will be able to peruse casting calls listed in different areas around the nation.

Traditionally, these services existed on a pay-for-view database. But, ForTalent.com explodes that business, by allowing our community to make these connections through the ForTalent.com membership.
