Christy Castillo born on November 3, 1987 is an R&B singer/songwriter.  Castillo  was born in New York but raised in Lawrence, Ma. Castillo is a talented individual. Growing up she did sports and music. Excelling at both talents she became very confused when she had to attend college. During high school, she created the girl version for the song "Locked Up" by  Akon  and it was played on a regular basis on Jam'n 94.5 in Boston, Ma. Although, Castillo decided to choose sports as her main talent it backfired. Throughout college, she performed in all talent shows placing each year. Summer of 2009 she auditioned for  American Idol  and passed onto the second round but was not able to make it completely through to TV. Many news stations interviewed her and internet blogs were written about her for her spectacular voice on YouTube. Recently, Castillo auditioned for the new show coming up, " X Factor " and passed the first round but not the second again. Currently, she resides in Providence, Rhode Island working as an Education Payment Advisor. In February, she will be moving to North Jersey to be able to put her main focus on music.
