Although I think I'm still best known for being lead singer/co-writer of the alternative band Velvet Chain, (we garnered a large cult following through our appearances on the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV show and soundtrack album), I'm currently working mostly on the theatrical stage as well as in television and film.

Although she first gained attention as the award-winning lead singer of the alternative band Velvet Chain, (who garnered a large cult following through their appearances on the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV show and soundtrack album), Erika is also an accomplished professional actress, working on the theatrical stage, television, and film.

After making her mark on the Los Angeles rock scene (and appearing on TV, doing indie films, touring the USA with her band, etc.), Erika transitioned into musical theatre, where she found immediate success, booking lead roles in productions all over Southern California and being nominated multiple times for various awards, culminating in an Ovation Award Nomination (Best Featured Actress in a Musical) for her work in the world premiere rock musical SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES in 2007. (Produced by Center Theatre Group and Deaf West Theatre at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.)

Feeling that she'd found her niche in theatre, she made her way to New York, where she now resides. She recently completed the First National Tour of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL (directed by Sergio Trujillo), in which she played "Miss Wilde. New York credits include: "Berta" in the world premiere Off-Broadway musical SIGNS OF LIFE (Marjorie Deane Little Theatre), "Cleopatra" in the new musical THE SPHINX WINX (Off-Broadway at the Beckett Theatre), "Hesione" in the critically-acclaimed revival of TRIUMPH OF LOVE (Astoria Performing Arts Center), and "Edna" in WAITING FOR LEFTY (Producer's Club). Regional credits include "Velma" in HAIRSPRAY (Tuacahn), "Elsa" in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, the "Fairy Godmother" in CINDERELLA, "Dolly Tate" in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, and "Miss Jones" in HOW TO SUCCEED... (all at the Fireside Theatre in Wisconsin), "Reno Sweeney" in ANYTHING GOES (Candlelight Pavilion), "Cherry Jourdel" in PAINT YOUR WAGON (Geffen Playhouse), "Betty" in WHITE CHRISTMAS and "Dorothy Brock" in 42nd STREET (both at the Welk Resort Theatre), "Maria" in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Saddleback CLO), and "Luisa" in NINE (Chance Theatre).

Film and TV credits include BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, QUANTUM LEAP, BRINGING UP JACK, DANGER RANGERS, VH-1's SPARKLE LOUNGE, SMACK, A COUPLE OF DAYS AND NIGHTS, PICKIN' UP CHICKS WITH HARLAN WILLIAMS, FRIENDS AND STRANGERS, and Disney's ENCHANTED.

Up next, she will be heading up to Ocean State Theatre in Rhode Island to play the "Witch" in INTO THE WOODS.
